COVID Guidance - Responsible behaviour

It is extremely important that members are responsible in their actions as we could all suffer if any of our fisheries feel this is otherwise. The Social distancing rules are known to all and they will be continuously amended thought the season; if you are at all uncertain please do not take any risks.

Please check the website for specific rules prior to your visit but here follows some sensible rules which apply generally for the foreseeable future:

  • Do not come to the rivers if you have symptoms of Covid-19 or have had them in the last 2 weeks
  • Avoid car sharing to the venue (this advice seems to have changed to indicate car sharing may be allowed in certain circumstances)
  • Social distancing practices must be followed. Please maintain a distance of at least 5 – 10 metres from other anglers or walkers and respect the space of any neighbours to our beats.
  • Do not socialise at lunchtimes unless from a safe distance.
  • Take your own food and drink and chairs and remove them after your visit.
  • Take your rubbish home with you
  • Take hand sanitiser with you and use for instance, after opening and closing gates, sitting on benches etc.
  • No rod sharing is allowed.
  • Fishing huts are not to be used; mostly locked.
  • Catch returns will be electronic only (we are ahead of the game here as we already have a system for that)
  • Take particular care at filling stations.
  • Some of the fisheries (Denford in particular) are still suffering from wet & muddy banks. Please avoid these areas as they will become a quagmire with use.
