The event will be black tie with proceedings commencing at 18.00 with drinks in the Sutling Room. The ticket price is £120 (not including wine) and the format will be similar to prior years, an evening of entertainment, good food and great wine, and an opportunity to exchange stories of "The One that got away..".

We are very pleased to confirm that the speaker for our dinner this year is Martin Salter:

- Martin is the former MP for Reading where, amongst his constituency and parliamentary duties, he was actively involved in many campaigns and initiatives involving conservation and the environment. Martin is currently Head of Policy at the Angling Trust and National Campaigns Coordinator. Martin enjoys all forms of fishing, and has fished all over the world catching species as diverse as marlin, bonefish, tarpon, peacock bass, dorado and tuna but he is particularly fond of trotting for specimen roach in English rivers. Martin's selected charity for this year is Aspire 2 - their mission is "to empower children and families to access non-formal learning and enrichment activities that will enable them to gain skills to improve their engagement with their local community and their future". The focus of the charity is on under-privileged children and particularly to introducing them to fishing. Martin writes:" I'm really proud of what we've achieved at Aspire 2 and with the Ufton Adventure programme at Ufton Court outside Reading. This is a ground breaking outdoor education centre which, thanks to an innovative funding model, offers free summer residential places to young people from the Whitley estate. I use my love of angling and extensive network of contacts to deliver a kids fishing programme as part of the Ufton Adventure experience on a local pond that we have developed as a young persons' coaching pond".
